Supporting our youth through sports in cooperation with ENEOS Corporation
In cooperation with local municipalities, we host the ENEOS Baseball Training Program*1 and ENEOS Basketball Clinic*2, community outreach programs organized by ENEOS Corporation. These activities help the development of local elementary and junior high school students. (Narita Plant)
- *1ENEOS Baseball Training Program: A program in which active members of the ENEOS baseball team teach local youth the appeal of baseball and help them polish their skills.
- *2ENEOS Basketball Clinic: A program in which past and present members of the "ENEOS Sunflowers" women's basketball team teach local youth the appeal of basketball and help them polish their skills.
Contributing to the community through participation in local events
Shibayamamachi, in Chiba Prefecture's Sanbu District, where our Narita Plant is located, is known as the "Village of Haniwa". This is because numerous haniwa clay figures were excavated from the nationally designated, keyhole-shaped Japanese burial mounds known as Tonozuka and Himezuka.
Held every November, the Haniwa Festival is Shibayamamachi's largest event with over 20,000 visitors. Our company contributes to the community by setting up a booth, distributing goods, and participating in the festival events. (Narita Plant)
Blood donation drives
Our company holds annual blood donation drives in cooperation with the Chiba Prefectural Red Cross Blood Center. This volunteer-run program recruits eligible donors to donate blood free of charge to help save the lives of patients requiring transfusions due to illness, surgery, or other medical treatments. Plastic bottle cap collection campaign
We participate in the plastic bottle cap collection campaign* organized by the NPO "Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World's Children (JCV)", and donate funds each year to help purchase vaccines. (Narita and Yokohama Plants)
- *The collected plastic bottle caps are sold to recycling companies, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to help purchase much-needed vaccines. The caps are then recycled and reused as plastic resources.
Bellmark points collection campaign
We actively participate in a campaign* promoted by the ENEOS Corporation Yokohama Plant to collect points as part of the Japanese Bellmark educational support initiative. These points are donated to Koyasu Elementary School in Yokohama's Kanagawa Ward, which participates in the Bellmark Program. (Yokohama Plant)
- *The collected Bellmark points are converted at a rate of one yen per point by the Bellmark Educational Support Foundation and added to the school's Bellmark account. These funds are used to purchase equipment and teaching materials for the school, and 10% of the purchase price is donated to the foundation for various educational assistance activities, such as support for schools in remote areas, special needs schools, schools affected by disasters, and NPOs.
Neighborhood cleanup activities
We participate in neighborhood cleanup activities organized by the ENEOS Corporation Yokohama Plant. (Yokohama Plant)
